Aventiv Technologies Reinforces Commitment to Safety, Security, and Operational Efficiency Following Executive Order on Correctional Communications

Published:

Plano, Texas – July 01, 2025 – Aventiv Technologies, the leading provider of innovative communications solutions for correctional facilities, today reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to enhancing safety, security, and operational efficiency within correctional facilities. This dedication extends to ensuring secure, accessible, and affordable communication services for incarcerated individuals and their families.

Aventiv has long championed data-driven rulemaking that supports reasonable rates and fosters innovation. We firmly believe that fair, sustainable regulatory frameworks must balance affordability with vital investments in security and technological advancement. This critical balance ensures continued access to technology, enhances facility operational effectiveness and safety, and empowers incarcerated individuals to maintain crucial connections.

As the industry leader, we engaged with the FCC during the Martha Wright-Reed rulemaking process that culminated in its 2024 IPCS Order. Upon the issuance of these regulations, we complied with the Order. Simultaneously, we challenged it in court, joining the National Sheriffs’ Association and 18 State Attorneys General in advocating for a regulatory framework grounded in the operational realities of supporting facility safety and preserving communication access for incarcerated individuals and their loved ones.

We commend the FCC’s decision to address the unintended consequences of the 2024 Order, and we remain committed to advancing sustainable solutions that balance meaningful access to communication while prioritizing public safety.
